I urge you to do whatever it takes to end the violence in Gaza, immediately, and to push for a two-state solution to end the conflict.
The American public--and I fear the American Congress--is not getting accurate information. Itamar Eichner in today's Yedioth Ahronoth reports that "Israel's launching of a ground operation in Gaza Saturday appears to reflect the support of only around a quarter of Israelis;" a Friday Haaretz poll also reported that "only around a quarter of Israelis" supported invading Gaza. Our "media" report that over half of the Israeli population supports the Gaza invasion.
Why do our "media" deliberately misinform us? The only answer I come up with is that our sycophant "media"--increasingly owned by Rupert Murdoch--just parrot whatever lies the Bush administration "thinks" we should believe.
I implore you to use your own staff to investigate this quantitative discrepancy. Thank you.
