Again, I begin by stating how proud I am of the astuteness of Oregon's congressional delegation. I know that you know, as I know, that much of the debt Americans owe the credit card industry has been racked up paying medical bills. We finally, after Bush's vetoes, have some semblance of a health care plan for American children. It's more than past time to make health care affordable for *all* Americans.

The so-called "health care" industry is lobbying, no holds barred, to prevent this. Paraphrasing Winston Churchill: 'on the beaches, in the towns, on the streets, in the fields and valleys' we must fight them. There is no other way forward.

It is not the agreements reached by the governments of the G20 summit that signify the birth of the new world order. Rather it is the voices of all the demonstrators, the protesters--those who insisted on being heard--that signifies the birth pangs of that new world order. The only question is whether America, our country, is going to be part of that world.
